Dorm stories

the best …when it was lights out and father mike would walk around making sure we wern’t talking and goofing around …of course we were….the freshman dorm was the loudest ….we where the last freashman class before we got the bad news of the school closing…best time of my life …thanks Father mike for being there and showing us how to be real men in todays world!!

Soccer

We were the smallest school around and won the championship 3 years in a row 1976-79. They would taunt the seminarians but we showed our talent on the pitch. Thanks Coach Marty M. . I loved the smell of the freshly cut soccer field and running down the estate to practice after school. What a wonderful place it was to grow up in. I have such great memories of Bellefontaine and all my friends there. DeColores Brian Conlon

Talent night memories

who can remember their most memorable moment of talent night. i remember a lot of plays we put on with the talent of Bob Forget, but none still come to match that of the Singing Nuns of the class of 1973. you guys still have my vote.
What do you remember???

Looking for an old friend

Hey guys, I used to go to school down the road from you, Bible Speaks. Whew,,, glad that chapter is over.

I am looking for a guy that went to school there between 1978 & 1979 maybe.

Walter Silva from New Bedford, MA. I believe he went into the military after that.

If anyone knows how to contact him, I would much appreciate it.

Thank you.

Tammy

Selling Candy

I don’t know why we were doing it, probably for sports uniforms but we had boxes of chocolate bars and were running around in the early evening selling candy at the different houses.

Mr Allen and Ecology

As a senior we had a class with Mr Allen that was an ecology class, he had us due an environment study of Lenox. We had to pick all the different types of plants, we went to the dump by the river and took water samples from the river.

Graduation night

After graduation Charlie Gallagher and I stayed the night, his cousin had given him a bottle of Asti Spumante Father Hess heard about it and joined us. He also brought a jar of bourbon. We polished off the drink and then were riding around Pittsfield and Lenox in his little falcon.
Fr. Hess sure did like to drive.
I remember a Sunday afternoon going out and riding along the Housatonic River through Connecticut.
I think I have avoided highways and stayed on side roads because of the fun of just exploring the road.

Returning for Graduation

I remember after I had graduated I attended a graduation and was on my way home when I picked up 2 hitch-hikers(under classmen) in Stockbridge. Theywere on their way to Connecticut. I never found out if they got back.

Fall 1966 memories

I remember the Spanish-speaking nuns making chocolate eclairs, which up to that point in my 12-year-old life were the best things a human ever put in his mouth.
I remember rolling down a long hill with another student, who slid on a piece of glass (I suppose) and cut his thigh badly.
I remember a sudden, explosive interest by upperclassmen in hypnotism. It scared the dickens out of me. One afternoon — it was a weekday — a bunch of us ended up in a classroom in the lower level of a building. The fellow who seemed to be most interested in the subject had a student sit in a desk, with his back to the wall clock, and guess the time. When the student did so, we were astounded!
I remember Bouvier being one of the few guys who was genuinely friendly to me.
I remember the long, cold walks along an outdoor path saying the rosary.
I remember being scared to death that I’d flunk every subject, especially Latin.
I remember the relief but sadness of leaving Bellefontaine in late 1966.
